Fire Department Staff

Total staffing of the department consists of a full time Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, 1 Full time Firefighter, and Administrative Assistant. Staffing also includes a part time inspector and eight part time firefighters. With paid on call firefighters staffing is maintained at about 80 for the 5 stations.

Service Area

The primary service area is approximately 170 square miles and we service about 40,000 residents.

The Howell Area Fire Department operates five (5) engine companies out of the five (5) stations.
